This is the program that Sean participated in from age 2 until he passed away.  They have very effective interventions to treat brain injuries, addressing physiological, physical, and intellectual issues.  We cannot say enough about the program and the profound effect it had on Sean’s life and well-being.

Peirson Center for Children

Functional medicine approach for children with special needs.  Sean started seeing Dr. Erica Peirson soon after his first birthday and she helped us navigate through many health issues including nutritional deficiencies, hypothyroidism, and gastrointestinal dysfunction.  A lot of information can be obtained from reviewing bloodwork/stool samples.  Dr. Peirson sees patients both in person and remotely.  We took advantage of the remote option with great success.  Our pediatrician appreciated the extensive information that he received from Dr. Peirson to help optimize outcomes for Sean.

NAET Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Techniques

We utilized NAET extensively over the years to determine what foods Sean was sensitive to.  This helped to guide us to make the best dietary decisions for Sean and to then clear triggers out of his diet.

Nutrition plays a huge role in optimally addressing the needs of someone with Down Syndrome.  Avoiding inflammatory foods was very impactful for Sean.  He was gluten-free, and dairy-free, and had very limited sugar in his diet from birth.  This website is a great resource for healthy recipes
